Trading Terms and Conditions Mid North Equipment and Safety.

1. Payment terms are strictly 20th Day End of Month (20 day into the next month). 

2. Overdue accounts will be placed on ‘stop credit’ until paid. Should the account remain outstanding after 15 for the 20th of the next month, 2% plus GST administration fee per month (on the overdue amount) will be applied to your account.

3. All customer accounts over 90 days will be placed in the hands of our collection agency. Any costs incurred by Mid North Equipment and Safety from the collection agency will be payable by the customer.

4. We accept Mastercard, bankcard and Visa payments. If your account is outside the terms set out in point 1, a 4% charge will apply.

Any Servicing over $800 in parts and $500 in labour or a combination to $1300 will be paid for on collection of the machine/item or on receipt of the invoice (to a maximum of 7 days payment). 

ALL SERVICE WORK ON STIHL AND OTHER OUTDOOR POWER EQUIPMENT BRANDS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO HONDA EXCLUDING THE FOLLWING ITEMS TRACTORS, RIDE ON MOWERS, ZERO TURN MACHINES, INDUSTRIAL PRESSURE WASHER, CHIPPERS, INDUSTRIAL PUMPS AND AT THE DESCRESION OF MID NORTH EQUIPMENT AND SAFETY WILL INCURR A $50 + GST MINIMUM FEE PAYABLE WHEN MACHINE IS DROPPED OFF AND IS NON REFUNDABLE. THIS WILL STILL BE CHARGED IF THE MACHINE IS LOOKED AT CHOSEN FOR NO REPAIRS ON THE MACHINE TO TAKE PLACE.

THIS WILL STILL BE CHARGED IF THE MACHINE IS LOOKED AT CHOSEN FOR NO REPAIRS ON THE MACHINE TO TAKE PLACE. 

Diagnostic works undertaken with a scan tool to find faults are charged at $130 +gst for the first hour of diagnostics then $110 + gst per hour after that. 

If Mid North Equipment and Safety orders parts in for you based on what you believe to be the right part/your own diagnosis and or wrong part number provided by you and later found to be the wrong part, and is a special order part (not Stocked at Mid North Equipment and Safety) requiring shipping back to the supplier, the shipping fees and the re stocking fees will be charged to you at cost price. A time component may be charged if repacking is required or if the part has been fitted to check for damage. If the part has been fitted and there is damage no returns will be available and the part will be charged. 

If Mid North Equipment and Safety Staff order the wrong part based on our diagnosis or the incorrect part number entered, we WILL NOT invoice you for these it will be our responsibility. 

All orders are supplied on an ex-warehouse basis. All freight and special delivery requirements will be charged separately.

All finished units are excluded from the normal freight policies. Freight on all finished units will be billed to customers at Mid North Equipment and Safety freight rates.

We strive to ship every order complete, however, items are occasionally temporarily out of stock. Backorders will be shipped as soon as they are available. Backorders unable to be filled after 90 days will be automatically cancelled. We do not backorder items on COD or credit card orders.

12 month minimum spend of $1000

Mid North Equipment and Safety is committed to customer satisfaction. Should you need to make a return the followingapplies:

1. Please contact Mid North Equipment and Safety at admin@midnorthequipmentandsafety.com.au or 0487 197 380 with a description of the problem and images

2. All returns must be reported in any of the above methods with 10 days of shipment

3. Original invoice number or copy of invoice is to be supplied with all returnrequests.

4. If Restocking fees are applied to us by our supplier, and any return freight charges are to be paid by the customer.

If items are being returned due to a shipping error, defective items or warranty claims, no restocking fee will be applied. Obsolete items cannot be returned. All returned items must be in a saleable condition and in original packaging. All returned items must be a Mid North Equipment and Safety part number and purchased from Mid North Equipment and Safety.

5. We do not accept returns for products that have been ‘special’ ordered

Wrong part numbers, shortage/overage and damaged products must be reported within 10 days of delivery. Damages must be reported immediately. All external damages should be reported to the freight carrier and noted on the delivery docket when signing the delivery receipt. Any damages not reported within 10 days of receipt cannot be adjusted/creditted.

All prices are accurate at the date of order; however, the price may be subject to change without notice from Mid North Equipment and Safety. The final price may be subject to change as a result of currency fluctuations and the customer agrees to pay any variations in price to the goods caused by currency changes.

Mid North Equipment and Safety retains the right of ownership of all goods supplied or delivered until payment in full has been received by Mid North Equipment and Safety.

All warranties are held with manufacturers not with Mid North Equipment and Safety. Mid North Equipment and Safety will help facilitate warranty claims with manufacturers as a point of contact and act as required as a dealer of the brands. 

Validity of Quote

All quotes are valid for 15 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated in writing.

Prices and availability are subject to change after this period.

Shipping Costs

If shipping or freight costs exceed the amount quoted, additional charges will apply and will be payable by the customer.

Scope of Quote

Quotes do not allow for any fault diagnosis unless expressly stated.

Diagnostic charges and additional work will be quoted separately if required.

Payment Terms

For account holders: All payments are due and payable by the end of the 20th day of the following month (20 days end of month terms).

For non-account holders and cash sales: Payment is due upon collection.

Any outstanding invoices not paid within terms will incur a 2% finance charge per month from the end of the 30-day period.

Service Work Payment Requirements

Any servicing where parts exceed $800, labour exceeds $500, or a combined total of $1,300, must be paid on collection of the machine/item or on receipt of the invoice (to a maximum of 7 days).

Minimum Service Fees – Small Equipment

All service work on Stihl and other outdoor power equipment brands (including but not limited to Honda), excluding tractors, ride-on mowers, zero-turn machines, industrial pressure washers, chippers, and industrial pumps, will incur a $50 + GST minimum fee payable when the machine is dropped off.

This fee is non-refundable and applies even if the customer chooses not to proceed with repairs after inspection.

Minimum Service Fees – Larger Equipment

All service work on tractors, ride-on mowers (including zero-turn machines), industrial pressure washers, chippers, industrial pumps, and at the discretion of Mid North Equipment & Safety, will incur a $130 + GST minimum fee payable when the machine is dropped off.

This fee is non-refundable and applies even if the customer chooses not to proceed with repairs after inspection.

Diagnostic Work

Diagnostic work undertaken with a scan tool is charged at $130 + GST for the first hour, and $130 + GST per hour thereafter.

Warranty

All warranties are held with the product manufacturers, not with Mid North Equipment & Safety.

Mid North Equipment & Safety will act as a point of contact to assist customers with warranty claims but does not provide or guarantee manufacturer warranties.

Pre-Orders and Deposits

All pre-orders require a deposit of 20% of the total purchase price.

Deposits are required to secure stock and initiate the ordering process.

Non-Refundable Deposit

Deposits are non-refundable in cases where the customer changes their mind.

This applies particularly to items ordered in specifically for the customer (special or customised items).

Balance Payment

The remaining balance must be paid in full prior to collection or delivery of the item, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Failure to finalise payment within the agreed timeframe may result in cancellation of the order, and forfeiture of the deposit.

Restocking Fees

Where an order is cancelled at the customer’s request, and the item is not considered a “special order,” a restocking fee of up to 15% of the total purchase price may apply.

This fee will be deducted from any refund issued.

Special Order Items

Items ordered in specifically for the customer are considered “special orders.” These items cannot be returned or refunded, except in accordance with Australian Consumer Law (e.g., if faulty or not as described).

Timeframes and Availability

Estimated delivery times are provided in good faith but may be subject to manufacturer, supplier, or freight delays outside of Mid North Equipment & Safety’s control. If extreme delays occur and you are unhappy, please contact us. 

Customers will be advised of any changes as soon as practicable.

Australian Consumer Law

These terms do not limit the rights of customers under the Australian Consumer Law. Customers remain entitled to a remedy if goods are faulty, unsafe, or not as described.
